Okay everyone time to pack your bags and buy your tickets. It looks like we have found a new planet we can infest. Its about time…geez NASA what has taken you so long? What, you didnt find it? Oh so we owe our gratitude to no other then our trusty buddy Spock? Thanks again Spock we wouldn’t be able to survive without you….wait what? You mean we don’t actually know if it exists…Damn You Spock for getting my hopes up.
Sorry folks, it appears that we were just given false hope. There doesn’t really appear to be a planet, yet that we can see…we just figured that because the galaxy had planets and stars in it it was similar to ours…silly us. Oh, wait and its only 62 trillion miles away…oh haha thats nothing. A hop skip and a jump across the pond. Well it sure is nice to know that our tax dollars are going to something so useful. I mean it sure is great to know that out there somewhere there might be a planet in a galaxy where we might be able to survive with vulcans after traveling 62 trillion miles. but my question is why travel 62 trillion miles when we can just dig to the center of earth and live in peace with fairies and dinosaurs…I mean really…its much closer and honestly probably more realistic. Im not about to pack my bags and travel to a Vulcan paradise just to find out that the place went out of business 1 million years ago. But I guess I can always hope. Thanks again NASA and Spock, let me know if there are any breakthroughs…I mean I am getting so tired of earth and its about time i polluted another planet.

It is a well known fact that people in Florida are strange…I Don’t think anyone would argue that it is the state of common sense and the epicenter for human evolution. All you have to do these days is look in the news and you will find an article about some Floridian doing something slightly below the level of what most would consider an intelligent action. Its one of those guaranteed to be right stereotypes, like women are bad drivers and Asians have small penises. Anyways I found this article on AOL today (go figure) that talked about the good Ole’ days back in 2000 during election time. Like all Florida stories it was a sad tale about a White Republican Floridian Male not having anyone to love so they decide to dedicate themselves to something either lifeless or non-human. In this case Chads and voting machines…I mean if you are a political consultant chads and voting machines are right up there with interns….seriously….have you seen most of the interns…. Anyways So this guy lives with paper dots, voting machines and a cat…ya a cat…I know we wont go there. Read the article and enjoy. And remember we must not feel bad for Floridians we just have to remember they have different priorities then most of us like Nascar, mullets, their siblings, goats, bass fishing and voting machines that seductively sprinkle chads everywhere to a point that they can be considered super “cool”.

This year should definitely be the best Halloween ever…well I hope so. I know it will be fun but it sucks I have class the next day. Tess and I are going to do an Alice and Wonderland theme this year. She is going to be Alice and I am going to be the white rabbit. You should se her costume …man she looks good . I wish I could take advantage of Halloween more this years since it is on a Black Friday but I will have to be good. Which has been the theme lately do to all of my classes I have been missing out on a number of fun activities, but I guess that is just the price I have to pay. Tess and I are going to the goodwill today to get the rest of my costume, hopefully we can find something that is somewhat resemblant of the white rabbit. I already have ears, tail, and pants so now i just need the shirt, vest and clock.

I almost gave myself frostbite this weekend. My leg was hurting me so I decided to ice it. I decided I would use an ace bandage to hold a gel ice pack against my leg. After about 10 min it started to burn but I decided I would fight through the pain. After about 15 min the pain stopped, and around 20 min I decided to take the ice pack off. As I unwrapped the bandage I realized my leg was super red and when I touched it it was hard and chunky to the touch. I couldn’t even squeeze parts of my skin. I wrapped it in a warm cloth and as it started to thaw it began to burn and itch really badly. So I guess I was on the verge of getting frostbite. I did this Saturday night and it still is red and itchy this morning…but at least it is getting better.

I would definitely recommend reading the article. Especially if you live in Glencoe Illinois .

When I say Sick I mean very disturbed. I was looking through the news and I came across an article about a women teacher who has been telling lies to people about having cancer for years. She was even able to rally her community around her to give her support. How disgusting is that…talk about being sick. There are people out there who are truly dying and she is just wishing she was one of them. How desperate for attention do you have to be…the worst thing is that she didn’t just lie to one community but she tried to lie to a number of different communities. Its people like this that make you have trouble trusting others. All I can say is she must be a sad sad women. I posted the whole story on my other blog http://firefighterchronicles.com if you want more details but what it boils down to is I helped get a kitten out of the undercarriage of a vehicle. It was really exciting and I cant wait for my next lol. I haven’t posted anything recently but its mostly because I have been super busy. I had my fire midterm and passed and now we are starting wild land firefighting in the academy. I am really excited because wild land interests me a lot. I am hoping to get a seasonal job this summer.

So I am guessing most of the people online here have been able to watch the debate a little, being that we are all so intelligent…am I right? raise your hand.1,2,3,4…..Ok thats good enough you may put your hands down. I honestly don’t know what to think anymore. No one seems to be telling the truth, they all exaggerate and the republicans are ugly…I just had to throw that in…actually as we all know Palin is quite the milf. Too bad she is absolutely insane. If I had to compare her to a food it would be French toast casserole, there is nothing sane about that woman. Unfortunately I was not able to see all of the debate yesterday however what I did see disgusted me. In my opinion it is clear Obama is the better choice however in all honesty he hasn’t really done much to grasp me lately. I feel like that spark of hope he spread when he was first nominated has slowly dissipated and now he just stands up there like McCain pushing false promises and sounding like every other presidential candidate that has gone before him. When are we going to be given a candidate that doesn’t come from the same cookie cutter as the rest.
I was fortunate enough to hear two great speakers on Monday in person in Marin. Newt Gingrich and Robert Reich. We all know who Newt is (the old speaker of the house) but not everyone is aware of Robert Reich. Robert was on Bill Clinton’s cabinet as U.S secretary of Labor. Between Clinton and Reich 20 million more jobs were created alone. He is a very intelligent man and he does not fit into any category that exists currently that i would deem either generic or cookie cutter. He has opinions and he stands behind them one hundred percent. I would definitely recommend people do some research on him. I wanted to say more about what is going on right now…but the more i think about it the more I realize how utterly depressing the whole thing is. I hope it all works out, thats all I can really say….for now.
