Pickle In Your Pocket

Well, it is kind of an interview and kind of a get to know the company and meet some people. I placed an application with a local ambulance company a week or so ago and just yesterday they gave me a call to come in. They wanted to know what hours I wanted to work, and when I would be available. I told them that I would likely be able to work more come the end of December but that I would love to come in and see the place. So I have a date to go into the local office on Oct 15 around 1pm to meet some of the employees and see how the place works. I am pretty excited. I have been interested in the medical field for a while now. Ever since I took a wilderness first responder course I knew I wanted to do some type of emergency medicine. I am hoping to go to paramedic academy next august which would also help me get my foot in the door as a paramedic firefighter. I got curious about what kind of blogs are out there in the way of medical blogs so I thought I would take a look. I came across one that I thought was full of some good information. Daniel Neumeister seems to have good info and be up to date with a number of different areas having to do with medicine. I would recommend checking it out.

I have been trying to decide lately if I should get another job. I like my job now for the most part and I just got a raise but I want to bring in a little more money then I am making currently so that I don’t have to worry about financial issues as much. Maybe I should check out some websites like Dennis C Carey on CEO board placement. It would be great to be a CEO and rolling in tons of dough. Oh well I am happy with my career track, I just cant wait to get at least a volunteer position with a department. Once I have a position like that I am sure I will get more of a feel for how the service is. As of now all i really know is what I can see in my academy but that is enough to get me very excited. I also like the idea of having the possibility for two careers as a firefighter. That will allow me to run my advertising company on my days off and have a job that I absolutely love. I cant wait.
