I find myself surrounded by tons of fancy words and processes everyday which I have no clue what they mean. Given I am not very computer savvy…it would still be nice to not feel completely out of the loop. To be honest I got a lot of help even creating this website. Its funny how far we have come technologically just in the last half a century. In the 1960′s we were nowhere near where we are now.High tech computers were a thing of the future. Things like conversion rate optimization and the internet in general weren’t even conceived of. Life was much simpler. In all honesty I probably belonged back in a time were kids were out side more then inside and when they wanted to play football they actually picked up a football not a video game controller. I miss the simpler days it seems to me all technology does is raise the stress level and create false understandings for what the point of life is. Don’t get me wrong, I think it is great that we have come so far in fields like health and medicine but in the process we have also seemed to make life much more complicated and in my opinion it seems like over all people aren’t happy unless they have the newest material thing out there. Whatever happened to good ole human relationships. Now days people marry people online in little imaginary worlds…doesn’t that seem a little odd?

Housing again…I know I seem desperate but I just hate to pass up a great opportunity like a horribly burdened economy with tons of cheap houses. The housing market is still continuing to drop as we speak. You can find all types of houses online for sale anything from mansions to ranch style homes, Victorian to Adobe. I saw one house on craigslist today that looked like a cute place in a community full of dollhouses for $125,000. It was 2 bedroom 2 bath with 1200 + sqft. That is an unheard of price for something like that in this area. So I am hoping that by the time I save up enough for a down payment with Tess there will still be a good number of places around for reasonable places. I hate to feed of those who were irresponsible in the past and bought houses that they couldn’t afford but the way I look at it is its their faulty our economy is the bad off anyways with the collapse of the large mortgage companies so I might as well get some kind of gain out of it like cheap housing…right :)

I have come to a realization….There are things out there that will make your pimples worse. I am not speaking of fatty foods, booze, make-up or anything like that I am talking about a good make out session or sex. Yes, I believe pimples are made worse the more fun you have…they are pleasure wounds. Think about it the more time you spend with your face stuck to someone else the worse your complexion is the next few days. You could almost take it as a sign of getting some. I mean there are the few exceptions like teenage angst and puberty where you can’t help but grow a boulder field on your face…but as you get older pimples truly become a sign of getting laid. Now I just need to figure out a way to get the pimples I have off my face…I don’t really want to sacrifice if you know what i mean ;) . I guess I willl just have to figure out some homemade acne treatments that keep my face from giving my terrific love life away.

I was just looking at my passport today and I realized I need more stamps. I only have three. I have one from Mexico, one from Germany and one from Russia.I am completely jealous of my sister who has gone through I think at least two passports. Given she goes to college in Dublin and spent a year in Russia she does have more access to other countries, but she also is much more motivated to travel. I am hoping to go on some trip within the next year to Europe but that means I have to save a pretty good amount of money. That will be hard because right now I am trying to save with my gf for a down payment for a house. Hmmmmmm Priorities….priorities. I know sooner or later Tess and I will be able to afford a trip…I guess I just have to wait.

I was reading an article earlier today…in fact it was this one http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081118/ap_on_fe_st/odd_marine_weight_loss and I was super surprised by this guys determination and dedication. I mean obviously he must have been a fatty (tad overweight) to be able to lose 140 pounds in the first place but to change your life style and undoubtedly his eating habits in order to reach a goal is pretty amazing. I am not sure if he used diet pills to help but even if he did most of the progress was do to his dedication. What is even more amazing is he did it in under a year. It only took him 11 months to successfully lose the weight. Now lets see if he can keep it off. If anything we will probably lose even more weight. His whole reason for losing the weight in the first place was so that he could join the marines…hey man whatever floats your boat, so I am sure he will lose more once he reaches boot camp. Nice job buddy.

I really want to go on a cruise in the next year or so and I am starting to do research. I know there are companies like Caribbean cruises, Princess cruises, Disney vacations cruise, Carnival, Norwegian etc…So I guess the first thing I need to do is just decide where I want to go. Tess and i were thinking that a cruise to Alaska might be nice. However I have also heard that a good first cruise is one that goes down to Baha California from LA and then back up to LA. We are young so I think it would be nice to find a cruise that has other young couples on it. That way we can make some friends and really enjoy ourselves more. It would also be nice to be able to get some sun…I have been feeling really white lately. I guess what I should do is just find out where I want to go and then after that it will be easier to compare prices. If anyone has any advice feel free to let me know.

Lately I have had lots of time to sit and day dream during the day. Luckily for me work has been rather slow. Since Christmas is coming up and it is the time of year that people sit and wish for things they wont ever get or things they wont get for a long time I figured it would be good for me to make a post about my dream house. Below are the top things I would really love to see in my dream house.

1) Either a sprawling Ranch Style home or old Victorian farm house.
2) Wood Floors
3) bamboo blinds
4) at least 1 acre
5) oak trees or willows near by
6) 3-4 bedroom
7) 2000-2500 sqft
8) about 10 min outside town
9) good views
10) close access to a river, pond or lake
11) wrap around porch
12) lots of storage
13) outdoor shower
14) 2-3 bathrooms with large claw foot tub
15) large master bedroom and bathroom
16) large kitchen with 6 burner gas stove top and island, dishwasher and two sinks
17) skylights and sun-room
18) track lighting

This is what I have so far but I will continue to update this entry as things come to mind :)

I am pretty sure she will read this but i would love some feed back anyways. My girls friend Tess ( http://liloregonbug.com) is a huge fan of any holiday. She has the biggest heart out of anyone I know and I really want to give her something that I know she will use as well as being something she needs. She is going to make a list for me but it would be nice to think of something creative on my own, so that it is more of a surprise. Neither one of us are into material things. Ultimately we would both love to be able to take a trip. However, Due to the decreasing economy it looks like the Christmas budget is going to be much smaller this year. So here are a couple of things I was thinking I could get her.

1) gift certificate to a clothing store. (she hates clothe shopping but is always talking about how she needs new work clothes)
2)a trip to a close B&B. It would probably be out of the budget but I am positive she would love it.
3) Rock Band( she is a video game lover and that game is something that we would both enjoy whether we played by ourselves or with friends)
4) Delsey luggage which I heard is pretty good luggage. That way she has something to pack her clothes in when we finally do go on a trip.
5) some kind of jewelry
6) a I will give you a 15 min massage every wed night gift certificate booklet ;)
7) gift certificate to sports authority so she can buy some new work out clothes or shoes
If any one else has any ideas I would love to hear them. Or just let me know if any of those sound good. :)

Ok so Tess and I are trying to figure out where we want to go for a little escape once I am done with my academy. We are thinking early January would be a great time to go. The places we are considering are las vegas nevada, Hawaii, Seattle, Alaska or maybe even a cruise somewhere. We are also thinking about just going back up to Bandon to visit her parents again. We had some much time when we were up there before, and Tess really wants to see her parents during the holiday season so I am thinking we might just go do that. I can’t wait for the academy to end.Not because I am no longer enjoying it but because I just need a break. It has been pretty intense and it would be nice to have a little more free time. If anyone has any other ideas for where to go for a little vacation feel free to let me know.

Its both funny and sad how people, myself included get excited over new things. I guess receiving new material things are one of the few ways people these days can truly experience the “unknown”. I know makes us sounds pretty lame doesn’t it? Whatever…deal. I came into work today and found a little box on my desk. It was like Christmas but a few months early. I flipped the box over to reveal two words plastered across the top of the box “Viewsonic monitors“. Awesome!!! So I quickly Unwrapped the unnecessary luxury and placed it next to my other monitor and now I have two monitors. I know the excitement will wear off in a few days because now i just have twice the surface area to loose the mouse in but who cares…I am work spoiled. :)
