New Laptop for Academy

I’m thinking when I do eventually go to academy I’m probably going to need my own laptop. Otherwise I’d have to wrestle T away from hers, which is just a bad idea. I trust her to know what system memory I need and all of the other stuff. That’s the nice part about being with a computer genius. She hooks me up with the cool electronics and I use them! Hopefully I can get a cheap one that will do the job without breaking the bank.

Wedding Gifties

I think T and I have decided we’re not going to get each other wedding gifts since the wedding is so expensive as it is. I’m just lucky my future wifey isn’t a gold digger who demands I buy her wholesale diamonds and other expensive stuff. All she wants is time with me, and hopefully a honeymoon before our first year anniversary. If I have my way, we’ll definitely have one asap.

Pool Party With Friends

Last weekend T and I went to a pool party at our friend’s house. They have the most amazing back yard. Even their patio furniture covers are super nice. They have a pool complete with a slide, and an outdoor covered bar area where we played card games and drank way too much. I wish I could have stayed longer but I had to go to work. I’m hoping we have a lot more pool parties at their place, hopefully ones I can stay all night for.

Hurry Up August

Things have been pretty mellow around here. I’m starting to feel better about the sheriff thing and I’m anxious to go to the jail tour. August can’t get here fast enough!

T’s been kind of sad this past week, and I think a lot of it is just crazy hormones. Gotta love those huh? I should probably use ural flower delivery and send her some flowers to cheer her up. I know August is going to cheer her up too. We’ve got so many fun things planned. Miranda Lambert Concert, Carmel Trip, and then all the wedding stuff. Hurry up August!

Jail Tour

I thought it’d be time for a little update on the job front-I’ve got a jail tour the first week of August! I received an email that the chief likes for all potential recruits to get a tour of the jail before they’re hired. I’m taking this as a really good sign. I’m not ready to fully celebrate and go out to buy.com and start splurging on new toys, but I do think I’m on the right path. I’m just proud of how far I’ve come in this whole process.

Facebook and Too Much Information

I thought it was just me that was thinking that people on facebook have really gotten out of hand. Posting every little stupid detail of their life for the world to see in their facebook statuses. Having no shame, like some guy who posted that he’s searching for a hair loss cure besides his bad comb over, or that girl who posts so many pregnant belly pictures that are wayyy too revealing. I was complaining about all the TMI and did a google search about facebook. I stumbled across a hilarious site called Lamebook that pokes fun at all of those random status updates and TMIs from folks out there. You should check it out, it had me rolling on the floor.

I can’t wait to own our own home. I keep thinking that if I can just get this new job, then we can move and really start to save for our first home. I know T will be so excited about every aspect of a new home. She’ll even be excited about buying new door knobs knowing her. You know that song, “House that Built Me”? There’s this verse that really gets to me.

Summer Wheezing

All last week and into this week I’ve had this crazy wheezing, hacking cough. Who gets sick in the summer? It stinks because all I want to do is sleep. Just when I started getting into my workout routine too. Last night T and I just lounged on the couch watching car restoration shows. Man those guys get into their cars! This one car was selling at auction with all stock parts, from the seats to the screws on the enginemounts. He sold the thing for 1.3 million! Not a bad deal on a 1960s car. Now if I could just get ahold of a rare car and do some selling myself…

Vacations

Working part time has been so nice. I just wish I had weekends off with my love. We’ve got some fun vacations lined up though. Last weekend we were in Medford, and next week we’re headed to Tahoe for a few days. Maybe in August we’ll get some time to look into Orlando vacations or something really fun. We just haven’t had a lot of time to vacation or travel together as a couple and we’d both really like to, especially before kids. I’m taking advantage of all the free time I have to do it!

Wedding Craaaappp

As we get closer to the wedding, all I seem to hear about are wedding plans. T called me on her lunch break today to ask me what kind of wedding favors I wanted us to have. We could have personalized soccer balls and it wouldn’t really matter to me. But I know it’s important to her so I try to hear her out. I will be relieved when all of this is done and we’re just married already. All this fuss and crap is just not my thing.
