Pickle In Your Pocket

I got back from my Oregon trip Tuesday afternoon…”did you have a good time”, you might ask? And in return I must answer, “well yes good sir I did have quite a marvelous time.” No I didn’t wrastle greased pigs or exchange high fives with the duke brothers while hood sliding across rad chargers, but I did get a chance to go to a good Ole county fair, ride Atvs on small little trails, hunt for agates at the beach, smoke cigars in a bar, and sleep in a trailer.
Tess prepared me for the trip up to Oregon on the assumption that I would be overwhelmed with redneck phobia and run screaming to the nearest person I could find with a full set of teeth and ask them for help…however…little did she know I have a little hill billy in me. really little I couldn’t help it I got hungry and he was the nearest edible object… (crickets) anyways I had so much fun I must admit there was a definite difference between Santa Rosa California and Bandon Oregon. It seemed like all the people my age where either married or engaged with children …or expecting ( a lot of women where smoking and preggar too). It was crazy it seemed like that is what most people expect up there. Running into Tess’s old friends they were surprised that Tess was not either married or with a child…
On a different subject Family loves me…i mean honestly who couldn’t love me…jk but it was great to see Tess’s family welcome me with open arms…very sweet happy people and it just helps me realize why Tess turned out so great. She has a great support system and is surrounded by people and family who love her. It just helped me realize how lucky I am. Enough of the sap…that last paragraph was soo full of sap you could have made it into syrup. Ok well all i really wanted to do was emphasize how much fun I had and how much I cant wait to go on another trip with Tess and or to meet the rest of her family. If you ever have a chance to go up along the coast of Oregon go…it is gorgeous and you wont regret it.
